Leadership Issues searches manually for articles of interest on business leadership in over 50 leading online international newspapers covering all continents, and posts links on the website and Twitter. At the close of each month, the articles are reviewed and clustered into key workplace leadership themes including: leadership characteristics, environment/engagement, development/succession, innovation/future, technology, practice/skills and diversity.
The subject of leadership engagement dominated the global news last month (July 2016). 40% of the total assessed articles in July were on the subject of engagement in the workplace – – the highest percentage on record for this theme. In a remarkable twist, the subject of the skills/practice of leadership went from a record-breaking 53% of the total assessed articles in June to 18% in July. The leaderboard was as follows:

This is the third time this year leadership engagement has headed the group.
