Many modern leadership texts focus on the typology and function of modern leadership and show how we can self-transition into better more effective leaders through behavioural change. Leadership on the Line is very different. It is a deeply practical, almost gritty, manual on understanding and managing the politics that are playing out around you. It is less about “inward journeys” and more about the sheer practicalities of staying live in a tank full of sharks.

The book uses stories from the world of family politics and business to help us better understand the dangers that lay around us as leaders and how we can effectively respond to those dangers. The last part of the book explores how to navigate through these dangers though self-control and focusing on what matters.
